Customer need: major European manufacturer of electronic components and switches needs a fuseholder, a component that goes on top of the fuse cartridge, with the distinction of having a square base and a deep drawn top.

GMG proposed solution: a cutting edge technical solution has been proposed to the customer, obtained with a single operation through a progressive mould, thanks to a special shearing process of caps for deep drawing.

How to obtain the result: it has been chosen to avoid the easier shrink-fitting process for the formation of this part, and it is preferred to move towards a more complex but optimal solution, such as the shearing process of caps for deep drawing, in which maximum attention is reserved to the constancy of the height along the base of the square cap. >
